When Marcus and Mladenka reached out to us and told us about their Luz Portugal elopement plans we were really excited. Small, intimate elopements are some of our favorite weddings ever. There is always a sense of calmness, unlike most of the bigger destination weddings in Portugal we shoot. The excitement of all the guests flying to see you tie the knot in a big romantic cathedral, The groom and groomsmen getting ready on time. The brides maids hair being perfect and the bride breaking down when dad comes into the room for the first time is all part of the gamet of exciting and snetimental emotions that create such beautiful memories, but there is also something so unique about not having all of that. Waking up with your two best friends to breakfast served in bed and no stress of what is happening outside of your room, like if all 243 chairs are set up and food for 250 people will be prepared on time is a really good feeling. It creates an atmosphere that is so easy going and intimate.

Marcus and Mladenka stayed in an amazing villa right outside of Luz called Viva Valverde. The villa was on a small mountain with olive trees and green grass just outside of their rooms. They both got ready in rooms right next to each other and managed not to peek at one another all day! When it came time for them to head down to Praia De Luz, the beach they got married on, Marcus surprised Mladenka by hiring a classic Mercedes Benz to take the girls to the ceremony.

The Ceremony was incredible! With the sea in front of them, their 4 best friends behind them and sand between their toes, they both said yes to love forever. We are so honored to have been able to capture this Praia De Luz Algarve Elopement. Marcus and Mladenka, we wish the very best to you both and hope that our paths cross again.
