I met up with Cassandra and Rami in the city for their stylish Detroit engagement photos. They will be getting married at Planterra this December and I am thrilled to document their day. For their engagement photos, we wanted to have three looks from casual to formal and one in between. We started at Dessert Oasis, a super cute coffee shop on Griswold, with a more casual mood. We then moved to another one of my favorite spots for a great view of Detroit. The weather this day a mixture of rain, hail and wild wind but we made it through and finished at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford house. This property is incredible. The designer wanted to engage all of the five senses- “the sight of many colors and shapes, the sound of water running, the smell of flowers in bloom, the taste of berries, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature.” I would wager he did his job well. I loved photographing these two in a place full of history and old world charm. Congratulations Cassandra and Rami, I can’t wait for your Wedding!
