Julie and Per Martin’s 2Passos beach wedding was nothing short of amazing. Coming all the way from Oslo Norway, J & PM tied the knot with their toes in the sand and sangria in their hands. Guest got to enjoy the same as they watched two people in love say I do in the sunny Algarve of Portugal.

To start the morning off, Julie and her bridesmaids enjoyed champagne, looked through a photo book of old memories with friends and family, and laughed a lot. They were in a beautiful villa in Dunas Douradas Beach Club, a resort in the Algarve just minutes away from the sea. Meanwhile, Per Martin and his best men were off in another villa relaxing and getting ready for the big moment.

The ceremony took place on the beach at Praia do Ancão. It was the perfect day, with a warm summer breeze and the sun above our heads. Beach weddings have always been one of my favorites to shoot. I love ceremonies in big, historic cathedrals and beautiful old world style venues, but there is something about being in the sand and so close to the sea that is unlike anywhere else. Maybe its because I personally love the sea and watching the waves gently roll up the sand or maybe it’s the simplicity of the setting and colors. All I know is this ceremony was beautiful in every way.

Julie and Per Martin’s couple portraits are nothing but breathtaking. With the sea and the sand, and two people just married, it was the perfect recipe for beautiful photos. I am so happy and honored that I got to be a part of this incredible day and I wish you two the best with your new lives back in Norway.
