Carly and Jack choose the Detroit Institute of arts for their Bridal Session because they loved the expanse of white marbled it offered. The DIA is a gorgeous museum and wedding venue in Detroit with an incredible grand staircase at the back of the building. Carly and Jack got married on a beautiful but very rainy June day. Due to the weather, they choose to have their portraits taken on an alternate day. I highly recommend going this route if your timeline is tight or there are weather complications. The wedding day itself can sometimes be stressful- weather, timeline, and delays can just add to this stress. A bridal session is an incredible opportunity to have a relaxed session without the same time restraint or weather restrictions to get the photos of your dreams. On this July day, we started at the DIA with motor city vintage rentals who provided the beautiful classic car pictured. From there we moved to Belle Isle for a change of scenery and to finish the session. Stay tuned for their honeymoon session in Tuscany!
